This is an important study for us as we come from a movement of churches that strives to emulate the faith and reliance on God that we see in the first century as recorded in Scripture. Spring Break 2018
From March 10th-14th a team of 21 people from Ames, Iowa and 13 people from West Lafayette, Indiana converged on Rochester for a five day Mission Trip. We’ve done mission trips with these two sister churches in the past. These dear saints sacrificed part of their Spring Breaks to serve us and labor alongside us here in Rochester. Spring Retreat Recap
Over 35 people gathered in Rochester in Mid-March for the Living Hope Church Spring Retreat. Since many members of our team are still in the process of moving to Rochester, this was an important opportunity to gather together from Ames, the Twin Cities, and Rochester to deepen our relationships, pray, worship, and hear testimonies and teaching. How Did We Pick the Name Living Hope?
Wow, what a journey! Picking a name is hard! So much of your identity as a group of people comes from what you’re called. We brainstormed, got suggestions from lots of people, prayed, made lists, filled white boards with ideas, googled a whole lot of random stuff, prayed, dug through thesauruses, brainstormed some more, came up with the some great names that we already taken, prayed some more and so on and so on.
